The Burbank Tigers had an easy time of it at the ballpark defeating the
California Gangsta Luv by a score of 10 to 5.
Burbank took the lead for good in the top of the 5th inning scoring 2 runs on
2 hits. Tony Batista opened up the inning nicely when he reached on an
error. Batista got a great jump and stole second easily. Brian Roberts then
doubled scoring a run. Burbank continued their aggressive style with another
stolen base. Larry Bigbie came to the plate and stroked a one-base hit
scoring the final run of the inning. Offensively, Burbank was a juggernaut.
They scored in 6 separate innings.
Gil Meche(1-1) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Greg
Maddux(3-2) ended up with the loss. The Burbank ballclub's record now stands
at 9-17. With the loss, the California ballclub's record is 10-16.
